Establishing the correct diagnosis

It is essential to make the right diagnosis of the fears of future participants. The purpose of this course is to help you overcome your fear of flying, and that is exactly what it does. But in one out of four candidates their fear of flying is the result of other underlying causes that have to be dealt with first.

It has little or no use to have a person with agoraphobia who doesn’t dare to take a train or enter a supermarket follow a training to overcome their fear of flying. For agoraphobia or “other” underlying reasons for fear of flying there are dedicated, often very efficient treatment methods that can later on be followed by a fear of flying course.

Once you have formally subscribed to this course, you will be invited to complete a number of research forms via this website. Based on your answers to these questionnaires, a specialized therapist will judge whether the fear of flying course does indeed constitute the best possible treatment in your specific situation.

After the research forms have been processed the candidate will first be invited for an individual interview with a therapist/trainer of this program. As far as possible the interview will take place near the residence of the candidate.

If the interview with the therapist were to show that your fear of flying is due to another underlying cause, then this cause has to be treated separately before the fear of flying course can be of any real help to you. Of course this decision is up to you and you alone and has nothing to do with our course.

In this case we will pay you back the full registration fee.
